VISION & MISSION

VISION

To move the body of Christ toward unity (Ephesians 4:2-3), spiritual maturity (2 Peter 1:3), and full participation in the life of the church, leading to ministry that is both edifying and evangelistic. (Ephesians 4:11-15)

On the last night of Jesus’ life, he gathered with his disciples, then went to the garden to pray. He prayed for himself to be glorified, he prayed for his disciples, and then he prayed for us. Think about that! On the eve of Jesus’ crucifixion, in his last prayer, he chose to pray for you and me. In the midst of his darkest hour Jesus looked to Heaven and prayed:

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.  I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.” John 17:20-23, 20

Jesus said that Church Unity would result in people coming to know him as savior and Lord.

We are serious about pursing UNITY and about people experiencing God’s love and grace. Not the type of unity where we merely avoid arguments, but where we make room for each other’s faults because of our love (Colossians 3:13), forgiving each other, just as Christ has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32)!

We are forever learning what it means to be a family in the midst of a broken world. A family that cares for one another’s needs and shares one another’s burdens; a family where love covers all our faults (Galatians 6:2; 1 Peter 4:8).

MISSION

“Unifying Lives in Christ.”

Colossians 3:14-17  (NLT)  Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect Unity.

We believe the only way to fulfill the vision of Jesus is by putting on the love of Christ and unifying our lives with him.
